Church Camp '09
Day 2
Woke up at 6.30 and met at Lobby at 7pm. Headed to Belmont room for devotion. Sat between Danielle and Jonas. Did devotion questions with Danielle and Michelle. Had breakfast, and the bacon was good. Played Bluff in Brenda+Tabi+Janice's room, 2050. Took the bus to the Resort.
Had worship and sermon, sat next to Serene again. After that we did biblestudy, which is pretty dry and kinda boring.
Group 1: Hanxiang (YAL), Lucinda (YL), Germaine, Jolene, Dom.K, Luke, Belle, Ivan
Had lunch, sat between Jonas and Michelle. Chatted at our table after eating. Headed up to the Main Hall and played half a game of Werewolf. Got chased out by Rev. Burke. XP Went to one of the rooms to play games, while the adults had workshop. Built a straw tower with tape and a max of 500 straws. Yay our group's tower is like this long middle thing suspended by 4 legs attached to bottom fifth of it, with a thin long thing across the middle thick one to form a cross. It's the steadiest one, though not the tallest. Haha hurray for Dom. The tallest one is Jonas and Bens' group, but it ain't steady at all. Funny, since Ben.K's there and he was our genius last year together with Laura. Took group pics with our towers. Played Minefield, with Serene as our facilitator. In a 7x7 tile square, we have to figure out and follow an exact route through to the final square.
Brought our towers up to the Main Hall, and the adults were all staring at us haha. Oh and when I sat down and looked towards the doors, I saw our straw tower there, when it was clearly at the back. Seeing straws. @S Had sermon 3 and biblestudy. Moved down to the beach for games while the adults had free and easy back at the Palace. Hanxiang was running the show, so we did camouflage by burying someone from our group in the sand. Lucky how we sabo-ed Ervin before the rules were told so we had a easy time digging a deep enough hole and making the area around him flat and covered the darker sand with lighter one. And we did a decoy, and placed tables and chairs around. Daniel took photos to test Tim and we're the only group whom Tim couldn't get right. :D
Then we did a race with jumping jacks, crunches, apollos, crawls, wading across the pool and shooting balls. We all did twice. Apollos was terrible, couldn't get past 4 and got super dizzy. Started falling everywhere and almost ran into Danielle and almost tripped over Daniel. Hilarious. Then we got changed and headed up the stairs to the lobby. Apparently Karina pushed Belle into the little pool thing and got her and her bag all wet. Danielle lent her jacket to Belle and Jonas' towel to dry Belle and mine to dry her belongings. Chatted while we waited for the bus and played half a game of Werewolf. Turns out the bus came 30mins early and left without us so the Resort and Palace each sent a minibus to bring us back to the Palace.
Showered and had dinner. We were all late and tired so we just sat, ate and talked some more. In the end only a few of the older ones went for Prayer Meeting. We all went to Jonas and my room to play Zombies and Werewolf, while the twins helped Jonas with her homework. Then we all played Werewolf together. Jonas and Dom do not work well as lovers together. I sat next to Ben.K. Always good to be next to one of the two so you can see and hear their every sneaky move. Especially Ben 'cause he's more dangerous with this neutral expression on his face at all times. Slept at 12+.
