Christmas is about God sending His one and only precious Son down to earth to be human, to be persecuted, to die on the cross for those who hate the Son and later rise from the dead.
Simplified, it's about Jesus, the Messiah being born.
But to me, the most meaningful part of Christmas is the manner in which Jesus came down to earth, the humble manner in which He came. As a baby, the baby of a lowly carpenter. Not floating down on clouds with angels blowing on trumpets, or even coming down as a man in his twenties in some corner of an alley. Nope. He came as a baby, had to grow up as a human boy among those lower than Him, had to die on Calvary's tree for those His Father had created.
