Last Day of Reflection
Friday was our last workshop as a class, our last bonding session.
Purity is love. Full of agape.
It started out as an inward reflection, a quiet time to think about the past year, a silent gratitude towards our friends.
After that Father Simon came in and he talked to us about compassion. Like previous years, he highlighted that St Nicks girls always look at people in the eye when talking. :)
After recess, we wrote down our fears and things that hold us back on a piece of paper. On the other side, we wrote down our dreams and shared our dreams. Then Father Simon shared about empathy and asked us to exchange our shoes. Haha so Sherms and I exchanged our right shoes since Cherm's feet were too small, then Cheryl exchanged shoes with Cherm. Sherms' shoe is huge!!! Haha :D
After that, we were asked to wash each other's feet. Ms Chan started it by washing Father Simon's feet, then we started discussing about washing teachers' feet. Kim, Belle and Chermin made the first move to wash Mrs Tian's feet. Heard that Mrs Tian was so cute and felt so honoured. :) Then about the whole group of us gathered around to wash Ms Rockey's feet and she was very sweet about it. Oh she thanked me for the gift and told me she had found the word: SHINE.
We kinda wanted to wash CYM's feet but didn't dare... Heh. As we were going back we decided to wash the counselors' feet, but Yihui was absent. Haha Beverly was a little uncomfortable with the whole thing. Then Ms Chan came along to say Jiayou to the group of us so we washed her feet too. After that was this whole hugging session among us and Shiying wanted to hug Ms Rockey so I pushed her too. CYM feinted to hug Shiying and laughed and Shiying said xie xie lao shi and gave him a pat on the shoulder. Xie xie, lao shi, nin xing ku le.
The funny thing was that when I looked back to the rest of the students, they were all sitting down except for Purity, some Truths and some Loyaltys. And at that moment, I just though, I love this class.
Thank you for answering my persevering prayers, Lord. Amen.
