ROAD RACE 2011

Had Road Race at Pasir Ris Park today, ran in the competitive leg! :D

Now, 3.3 km is the longest distance I've ever ran without stopping. My new accomplishment. :D

Bumped into Amanda, May and Ethel as I exited the MRT, only May and Amanda saw me. I told Amanda to go first as we went down the steps and Ethel was surprised to see me. :) Got a bottle of water then ran a little to catch up. Gosh muscle ache from Mon and Wed was still not gone.

Reached a little behind 7.15, took attendance behind the stage tent. Those running competitive from our class were Eleanor, Valerie, Amanda, Eunice, Bernice, Yeeling, me, Darren, Weisong and Arun. Ethel was supposed to replace Priscilla but they didn't allow replacements. :( After our briefing we stood behind the stage and kind of joined the others for Phobos cheer and warm-up.

At 8.15, we assembled again and moved to the starting line. The girls would start running around 2 mins after the guys, who ran 4.3 km. I ran with Valerie and Amanda. We took around 17~18 mins, quite good considering that they took 19 mins to run 3.1 during PE. Really tried to maintain our pace but after a while your strides just get smaller and smaller haha. Oh Simin and Lumyi from ODAC ran too! Oh Mr Nah ran past us. :) And Ms Sophia Koh ran too! :D She was behind us so we didn't see her. We met Arun when we turned into the last stretch, he looked so comfortable haha. The guys' turning point was further than the girls' btw, so we ran along the same basic course.

While waiting for Phobos to finish their run, the three of us chatted with Mr Feroz. Ethel was the first to come and find us, then May and the rest. We fooled around taking photos with Eleanor and Amanda's cam. Hahaha some of Ethel and Eunice's pics are epic!

Then was award ceremony. Louis came in 12th position for the girls! Amazing. Shirley was 35th, Eunice 60th, Bernice 61st, me Amanda and Val were 164~166. ODAC came in first for clubs and societies guys. And...... PHOBOS CAME IN FIRST! Last year too! :DDDD We went mad clapping and cheering and hi-fiving each other. :D To end off, we linked arms and sang the school song. And the 'O' cheer!
