First Week of School

Friday, January 13, 2012

Sigh finally over. It's been a crazy week, handling overdue homework (heh), staying back to build the Leap of Faith (how humble yet towering it is (: ), Open House and recovering from the fatigue of Open House.
But I'm glad. :) Glad that I've had integrity to myself. Glad of my daily prayer to God.

Mrs Tan told me that she was disappointed. I told Mrs Tan that I couldn't handle all the homework because I was handling youth camp. Well, I did study in the first week, then Youth camp logs the next week, Youth camp in the 3rd week, overseas in the 4th and homework in the 5th. She said she understands, and I know that she does. But she also said that if I choose to walk down this path, there will be consequences. And I know that. I know that. But it's time to step up and choose. And I choose to follow God. If He leads me on the path of heavily serving in ministry, sure. If He leads me to focus on studies, sure. If He leads me to balance both, sure. I want to follow Him.

Last week, Thaddaeus was saying on Fb that he was scared of going on stage. So I said that no need to fear, just trust God. Haha so on last Sun, Ben and Abbie came to me, "So, not scared of going on stage already ah? Woah, someone say just trust God..." Haha oops. But it's true. I'm still scared, but I know now. Just trust God. (:

Ya' know, I'm really thankful for Abbie. I only really got to know her when she was J2, when she took over Congre Care. And from our mere Subcomm Head - Subcomm member relationship, we've come pretty far. Through discussing about Congre Care, then going out for lunch, then our Os and As, Church camp, and the most significant of all, Youth Camp, we've become quite close. Haha I wonder what happened during Youth camp, it just made us closer than before. Haha saikang-ing together, supporting each other during planning, staying up together for debriefs, just being together. I feel bad that I haven't been spending time with Jonas, but too often I forget. Sigh. I like talking to Abbie, cos she's older and she's seen more of the world, and also cos she's like one of the most approachable friends I have. So considerate to others too, something I want to pick up. Haha too many things to describe. She really deserves someone to be her knight. And Jonas, Jonas deserves a real gentleman, a sensitive guy.
We are all growing up so fast. Too fast. So sad.
