Whom Shall I Fear by Chris Tomlin
We Glorify Your Name by Christy Nockels
Waiting Here for You by Christy Nockels
Our God is Greater by Chris Tomlin
Sermon was about how God wants to immeasurably more in your life and through your life than you can ever imagine. How dreams and ideas put in by God can grow into plans executed and eventually rippling out in small personal ways that have large consequences.
Ezekiel 37:1-14 talks about Ezekiel was walking a valley of dry bones. A valley, the lowest points, of not just bones, but dry bones that are dead and thirsty and hungry. That's what sin has caused. And Ezekiel is asked, can these bones live? And his reply is, only you know, Lord. And the Word of God brought breath into the bones and brought the shattered and messed-up bones together and wrapped tendons and skin around them, repairing the bones from their shattered-ness. And He breathed life into them, saying, this is how you will know that I am the Lord. This repair in our lives that could only be done by God, that is how we know He is the Lord, because he did what no one else could, immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
Mark 9:1-27 talks about the time when Jesus expelled a spirit from a boy's body. The father asked Jesus, if you can do anything to help my son, please do it. And Jesus goes, 'If I can'?! Anything is possible for him who believes. And the father immediately exclaims, I believe, help me with my unbelief. We believe, yet a part of us still doesn't believe. But you know what, Jesus is okay with that, He can work with that. And He takes the tiny part of us that believes, and does more than we can imagine. The boy not only lives, he stands up to his feet.
God can do ANYTHING. And we need to have faith in that. The bones could see. The hands could move. The feet could walk. Breathe.
