MRT Musings

Was reading an e-book on the train today, Doctrine Matters by John Piper.

Was reading the chapter on God's glory, and it writes that the highest point of God's glory is His grace, specifically His grace through the death of His Son Christ Jesus.

Pam once told me that God created Eve for Adam not because he was incomplete, but because he was complete and perfect. Just like God, Adam was perfect in his desire to relate to someone else, thus Eve was created.
Jun always says that God is a relational God and He created us so that we may have a relationship with Him.

In that case. Maybe Jesus came down to walk on Earth among His creation not just to die for our sins and reconcile us to God. Maybe in addition to that, Jesus came down, that He may relate to us and we relate to Him in ways more intimate than before, such as physically eating with men, emotionally connect with His disciples, prepare them before they are each filled with the Holy Spirit.
If so, that's how great His love is. A deep deep desire to relate to us, that we may relate to Him. Not just for the obedient, but even for those who have turned and walked away.

And for His Name's sake, He will never turn us away.
