Musings

Maybe it's the hormones. Or maybe it's the excessive expansion of social energy. Plus a sleep-deprived body. Or a melancholic personality. Anyways.

Why is life as such? Why do we have to live like an alien in society? I'm talking about people like me, melancholics, with our serious and broody conversations, down-to-earth. Not many shreds of entertainment or socialising skills in us. When we laugh too much, it's all a superficial conversation, and we need to emo after that. It's too fake, I regret it. The truth is, we were both uncomfortable, tolerating simply for a train ride.
Why does society insist that we must be all sociable? If we refuse to comply, we would barely survive. All because this form of socialising allows people to hide their hearts in the darkness. It is a mask we put on. And we, who also have something to hide, pretending to be invulnerable, adopt the same approach. Why can't we be allowed to be comfortable in our own skin? And be accepting of each one's personality?

It was an okay day, Agnes joined us for dinner. We're quite fond of each other, each other's security blanket. I suspect she's quite close to me in personality. Onwards home.
