Recess Week

ZOOOOOMMMMMMM......

Just like that, another week is gone. 2 sems and 7 weeks more to go. *cries* I don't wanna graduate. Graduation means no more modules, no more chilling at the Deck and pretending to be an Arts student, no more dinners around the pink tables. No more VCF, no more tight Christian community. No more time to pass on vision to the juniors.

Why is that important? I guess it's important because... Well CF is called to equip the church, and we are the church. People equipping people through stories, through sights and sounds. The university is in the business of shaping minds. And passing on vision is important, because hopefully it contributes to the unification of the Body.
Is the Body already currently unified, in God's eyes? Maybe. But it feels disjointed on the ground.

Unity. Courage. Hope. Humility. Love.

Woke up before the sunrise every day this week for field work. Tired. I think Friday was the best day, studied at CLB as a pseudo Library Club member (to make up for those who have graduated/stop studying in CLB). Haha I was in a good mood, so I laughed a lot that day, thanks to Jonny ge and Shu and Duane's introduction of the Darth Vader theme song in major key. Wow hahahaha my childhood, ruined in one song. Watched the sunset beside Thng. I wish SEnT had time to have deep conversations with each other about life. Mind/Heart is hungry for food.

But today, 27 February 2016, today is Daryl's wedding day.
All grown up now, that boy. That boy who would leave his wallet and phone everywhere for his CF friends to pick up. Who sent his wedding invitations a few days before the wedding by WA. Hahaha Eunice must be really awesome.
The exhortation was on 1 Pet 4:7-11, calling us to continually pray, love, offer hospitality, serve, and glorify God. To serve with the strength that God provides and speak with the words that God provides.
And the wedding! Oh so touching, nearly cried, honestly. Eunice's dad passed recently, so Daryl took her when she was half-way down the aisle. Really... so sad for the family. But all the more beautiful. And as Daryl took her, it was really the image of the Church being presented to Christ as in the Book of Revelations, the revealing of the Bride.

Jesus the Shepherd (YHWH Raah), Jesus the good King, Jesus the Groom.

Faithful forever, perfect in love
You are sovereign over us.

What have I learned this week? God is El Roi, the God who sees and hears us when we cry out for mercy. David's cries of self-encouragement amidst such great anguish. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord!
