Week 8 & 9

2 very long weeks. Some things that happened.

Week 8 Mon: Studied with Sabby, Brian and Jon Lee until 10.30pm
Week 8 Tues: Visited NTUCF for their GADL FN. It was really refreshing to hear them share about their SG's projects and what they have done, it dares me to dream about doing things at a campus level as well. (: Though their theology lacks depth, these topics are so new and fresh to their CF, you can hear the eagerness in their voice. (: Got to talk to Jiaqi (woohoooo building relationships across CFs) & Prarts & Ejah.
Week 8 Thurs: Celebrated Stella's birthday!
Week 8 Fri: Depression workshop. The turn-out was pretty good, saw some new faces but didn't get to talk to them.
Week 8 Sat: Came back to school in the evening to work on the Elderly slides with Thng. Left at 11.30pm.

Week 9 Mon: Clearly there was something, but I can't remember
Week 9 Tues: Lunch with Zoey + Engine prayer + BEST + Emo @Macs after that. A renewed prayer to stop being selfish in the way I care for others.
Week 9 Thurs: CG
Week 9 Fri: Stargazing! At the expense of missing the Social Mobility workshop *cries*

Wednesdays: We've been short on volunteers, so we've been having to walk all the alleys. Doesn't give us much time to stop and talk to the locals, but it's also nice to see everyone. Been talking to Mabel and I'm quite unamused/firm with her hahaha. Like an Asian older sister. Also been talking to Phi Be, who keeps saying that I'm very cute. Bring her home, Lord.

Stargazing Weekend Trip to Tanjung Leman: Tired sia. Totally screwed up our sleep cycles (like we weren't already sleep deprived) but quite worth it. Matthaeus, Lester,  Jon Lee, Sabby, and I - fellowship among brothers and sisters. Hahaha Lester was quite the entertainer & enthusiastic photographer, Jon provided the conversations & manned the telescope, Matt provided camera expertise, Sab provided the consultation for budding photographers, & I simply provided company. We had some good conversations. Jon & I did talk about VCF and how succession should be done while the rest played with their cameras. Sab and I talked on the bus rides to & fro. It's nice living with Sabby, we are frank with each other.
Fri 12am: Cloudy, watched Saturn & Jupiter (with its moons transiting across its surface).
2am: Clouds cleared and we watched the stars until 4am. Matt & Sab managed to get their photos of the Galactic core of the Milky Way while Jon got his photo of the setting moon.
Saturday morning: Slept until 8, ate breakfast, then slept again until 12.30pm to eat lunch.
Afternoon: Crab-hunting along the beach. Did our schoolwork until 7pm, ate dinner and chill around.
9pm: Attached Sab's camera to the telescope to take photos of the moon. Totally clouded over.
10pm-3.30am: Slept. Woke up at 3.30 but still cloudy, so I did Psych readings while Sab and Matt did their UTU project. Outrageous hours.
Sun 5am: Went out to the beach and the only thing we could see with our eyes was Venus. Sky was cloudy even until sunrise so we couldn't see a good sunrise either.
7am: Breakfast, pack up. Loaded onto the bus at 9am and reached NUS at 1pm.

Quite a personal journey. God reassuring me of His presence. God reminding me that we'll always step down full of regrets & accumulated failures, that HE may all the more be praised. He tackles my fears. & reminding me that He has designed me to serve people. But today, also God reminding me to not be too eager & becoming proud & deaf to Him, & to count the cost of serving Him.
