Week 11

In the middle of Week 12 now but need to empty out...
4 weeks to AGM.

Week 11 was the week I was so stressed about being the weakest link in my Urban Eco group. And I am. But that week, I took a break from GBG to go frogging. And God really healed me through His Creation. I spotted a black spitting cobra,  a Microhyla butleri which is as tiny as my finger nail (only saw it cos it jumped!) and an Asian toad sitting motionless beside it. Our team also saw lots of banded bullfrogs, a Microhyla heymonsi, a skink, a weird but cute slug (Mary-Ruth was the first to record its presence in SG). And we got to see a nightjar up close, he was just sitting there on the pavement! Oh and a biggg crab-eating frog.
Talked to Rebs today about it, and she said that yeah, when we go out and walk, it's not everyone who sees these things. We see them because it's God showing them to us. And in each sighting is God's presence. Beautiful.

Week 11 was also the week I was emotionally distraught. Caught between two brothers from Bangladesh, one who is ever kind and gentle, the other is treacherous and disturbing. Now I have an inkling of an idea of what David means when he talks about being surrounded by his enemies, or his enemies advancing on him.
Will cut this relationship by the end of the week. Hopefully he doesn't text back.
Thank you God for keeping us safe as we walked Geylang.

But one thing I've realised. I need to be better at caring for others. No more selfishness! But to speak with God's words and God's grace.
