What's so special 'bout Student Ministry?
WSD 2017 is today, lasting for 48 hours, spanning from the regions of North America to Oceania.
After meeting up with Kangli and Chris for a Deepavali hike, it suddenly came to me. I can't believe that we, simple and young students ranging from 20 years old to 25, were given the reins of a 600-strong ministry, to do (almost) whatever we wished with it. What authority and responsibility were given to us! In truth, there's very little we can accomplish within one year, but the effects snowball and have lasting impact on the people in the ministry and the people around our members.
The flexibility we have as students, the guts to dream big, the independence we are entrusted with. We are so fallible, but God still uses us to bring His glory on earth. Weak instruments in the hands of an infinite God.
Weak instruments that He has planted worldwide, joined in prayer and in unity. WSD 2017.
